Vikramjeet Arora

Vikramjeet Arora,

Vikramjeet has over 13 years of experience as a Physiotherapist.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from DAV Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in the city of Jalandhar, province Punjab in India. DAV is the oldest and pioneer institute in northern India affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. After graduation, he worked for five years in a tertiary level hospital, Apollo Hospital, in India. There he had a chance to work with a variety of patients ranging from acute musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, geriatrics, pediatrics, obs and gynae, chronic injuries, post-surgical rehab, and patients in Intensive care units.

His primary areas of work are musculoskeletal injuries and post-surgical rehab. He uses his expertise to treat MVA, work-related injuries, and acute sports injuries. He uses Manual therapy, Acupuncture, Dry Needling/IMS, Manipulation and K-taping in his clinical practice. The key focus is on patient education, injury prevention, what to do and not do after any injury/problem, and providing adequate treatment for full function in daily life. He believes that a home exercise program keeps patients active and brings out the best results if followed diligently.

He is also trained in TMJ Physiotherapy, Concussion and Vestibular Rehab and Custom Foot Orthotics.

He believes effective communication is the key to success, and he speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu in addition to English. He is a firm believer in life-long learning and very keen to develop his skills by taking many post-graduate courses to learn new techniques and advancements in patient care.

He enjoys going for long drives and appreciating nature’s beauty when not working. He loves to spend time with his family and friends.

Sweety Arora

Sweety Arora,
Physiotherapist

Sweety Arora has over 13 years of experience as a Physiotherapist. She joined the Genesis Physiotherapy group in 2014 after working in various settings, helping clients of all different ages. She has been serving Calgary NE ever since. Sweety graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Punjab, India, in 2009 and began to work in a private setting and the Central Reserve Police Force, India, until 2014.

This physiotherapist loves to use hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, K-Taping combined with education, modalities and individualized exercise programs tailored to the unique needs of patients.

She is also trained in TMJ Physiotherapy.

She is certified as a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist and has been helping women with complaints of urinary and fecal incontinence/leakage, constipation, prolapse/bulging of tissues, pain/difficulty with intercourse, pelvic pain associated with chronic low back pain, pregnancy-related low back and pelvic pain and post-delivery issues.

Today she remains passionate about health and wellness. She loves to serve the community to help residents stay active and healthy and get rid of their pain.

When she is not working, her time is spent exercising, swimming and reading to gather further knowledge.

Harmanjot Batth (Sidhu)

Harmanjot Batth (Sidhu),
Registered Provisional Psychologist

Harmanjot Batth (Sidhu) is a member of the College of Alberta Psychologists, a Registered Provisional Psychologist working in the counselling field for the past four years. Her approach to counselling is client-centred, strength-based, narrative, and cognitive.

She completed her internship working with clients who experienced motor vehicle accidents. She has Level 1 and 2 training in the Gottman Couples Therapy Method and completed some training in Single Session Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Grief Therapy.

For the past few years, she has been providing counselling in the areas of Mental Health, Addiction, and Family Enhancement with a non-profit organization working with the South Asian community. She also provides counselling in Punjabi, Hindi, and Urdu.

Harmanjot loves to travel, spend time with her family, and keeps herself updated with what goes around in the world
